What we collect. Almost nothing.

This website

This site is served as static files. It sets no cookies, runs no advertising or social-media trackers, and does not profile visitors, which is why there is no consent banner.

Our hosting provider, Netlify, processes the technical data needed to deliver a web page, such as your IP address, browser type and the time of the request, under its own privacy terms. We do not combine this data with any other information.

Netlify also adds a small performance-measurement script to each page. It records page-loading timings (Core Web Vitals) and sends them to a Netlify-operated endpoint so we can see how quickly the site loads. It does not set cookies or use browser storage, and we see aggregate timings only, not individual visitors. This is the only script on the site beyond the page itself.

Correspondence

If you write to us at contact@meneltir.com, we receive your email address, your name if you give it, and the content of your message. We use this only to correspond with you. We do not add you to a mailing list, and we do not share your correspondence with third parties except where the law requires it.

Our legal basis under the General Data Protection Regulation (GDPR) is our legitimate interest in responding to enquiries, or, where you are asking us to take steps before entering into an agreement, the performance of that pre-contractual request.

We keep correspondence for as long as needed to handle your enquiry and any relationship that follows from it, and then delete it.

Your rights

Under the GDPR you have the right to access the personal data we hold about you, to have it corrected or erased, to restrict or object to its processing, and to receive it in a portable form. To exercise any of these rights, email contact@meneltir.com.

You also have the right to lodge a complaint with a supervisory authority. In Malta this is the Office of the Information and Data Protection Commissioner, idpc.org.mt.

Imagery

Imagery on this site is illustrative and is not Meneltir data. The homepage header is a photograph of the Earth's limb from orbit; its source attribution will be added here once confirmed. The Hazard Products background contains modified Copernicus Sentinel data (2025), processed by ESA, used under CC BY-SA 3.0 IGO.

Changes

If we add functionality that changes how personal data is handled, for example a contact form or a newsletter, we will update this notice before it goes live and change the date above.
